1. @Keith's mention of "should we panic?" doesn't Krugman's voice quake
FF to about 1:56; Mr. Krugman seems like his fear is about to come bubbling to the surface..

2. I think Krugman has been scared to say certain things on tv
Because he doesn't want to freak people out too much. It seems like the economists all have been holding back a little, like they're scared to effect the market or something. But Krugman strikes me as extremely fearful something bad is going to happen.

Unfortunately, Bush will veto any good bill.

7. Agree, but Pelosi needs to hold the Republicans feet to the fire too
Let her deliver 140 Dem votes. If the Repukes in Congress can't deliver the remainder necessary for passage, then it's proof that Bush & Co. want the Dems to hold the entire bag if the bailout fails. I also think that the new bill should have more oversight and taking of CEO assets to help pay off the debt.
