MSNBC The Rachel Maddow Show - Sept. 29, 2008: Rachel discusses the "bail-out" bill and the GOP. "Think about this for a second. As rank-and-file Republican members were about to sink the bail-out, the leadership was bragging on John McCain's leadership."

4. It says something about GOP leadership, all right
If Eric Cantor thinks I'm going to swallow that horsepucky about that mean old lady from San Francisco made us do it, he can think again. Politicians have thicker skins than that.

No, they saw the poll numbers. They aren't walking the plank for a lame duck president of whom everybody will be all too happy to see his back and a war hero candidate headed for burial in a landslide.

OK, everybody, time to regroup. Let's do it right this time. We're going to have hearings and get some facts, then we're going to negotiate compromises, and we should get input form Senator Obama, who, after all, will be the one who will have to execute the law next year.

6. What a political stunt..acting like crybabies.Ignore the bad commentsbut get the policy making done
They embarrass themselves with that reasoning. Pelosi spoke mean about Bush so we won't vote for the country even though we supported the legislation. I will be so glad when they can get these fools out of our congress. Blunt voted by CREW to be THE MOST CORRUPT member of congress gothis feelings hurt. Give me a break...another case of "the dems did it".
