2. Krugman is the only one there who seems to know what he's talking about
the best the rest of them can do is recite talking points and received wisdom--"grass around the Washington Monument," "wrote a paper critical of stimulus packages," yadda yadda yadda. I was waiting for someone to mention the money for contraceptives, too, since that has become the latest republicon bugaboo.

13. It seems so obvious to me.
People will not spend if they have no jobs. If they're not paying taxes because they have no income, what good will a tax cut do? If they're given a once-off check for $1000, they may spend it, but once it's gone, and they still have no jobs, the spending is over. Better to get people working, paying taxes and spending money that they have earned, and can count on continuing to earn. Am I crazy? No one but Krugman seems to see the sense in creating jobs.
