2. It's vanity and profit motive where it doesn't belong ... the gun industry.
Seriously, how many different types of makes and models and protection does one need????????? I know people with AK-47s, glocks, 45's, 9 mm's, AR-15's, ... under one roof and they have all these LEGALLY. I can appreciate owning a gun for protection but when one person owns a mini-arsenal, how do you justify that as protection? The selfishness of these people is infuriating; thousands of deaths per year I guess is worth their precious recreational hobby.

They still wouldn't have a clue.

Can't believe my brother bought a used (from kmart) Beretta semi auto shotgun limited edition. $800... just because he figures Obama will take them away.

4. I don't think there is a tipping point. Back when the columbine shooting happened I thought we'd
reach a tipping point. But now spree shooting as just accepted.

5. I was just about to say the same thing about Columbine.
There were three other shooting stories today on the LBN forum, too.

The trouble is related to something Cenk touched on when mentioning the muskets. Even though it might not seem like it if you listen to Beck, Limbaugh et al, we're living in a hugely different world than when the 2nd amendment was composed, maybe it's time to have another look at this ancient document and bring it into the 21st Century...?
