1. I had the Hong Kong flu in 1970....
...an almost died from it. I (my parent) had no healthcare insurance, and if our doctor hadn't been a family friend and made house calls, I probably would have.

4. I didn't take it that way....
...because the song does sound kinda cute. But the Hong Kong flu was my first brush with death. And I just recently had my second brush it.
