Bloomberg still says he has no plans to run for POTUS in '08. Hmm.

1. I find it fascinating
that CNN is trying to pimp this guy.
I mean the whole bit about him being a billionaire many times over was just weird.
It was stated and repeated like that was a good reason to like the guy.

That or this is the start of another MSM endeavor to develop another TV political celebrity to enhance ratings.

2. Right sure, He has absolutely no plans
:eyes:

Smells to me like a pre-run strategy. I don't know a lot about this guy. Do you all suppose that if he runs as an independent it will really kick the Repubs in the knees and make a Dem win more likely? Or am I way off base?

3. If he runs as an I, this New Yorker would vote for him
unless Al Gore was also in the race.

I really wanted to dislike the guy, but I can't. He's just doing a damn good job.

He has one point I really loathe - he seems to enjoy breaking up unions. As a rich businessman, I don't find this surprising.

He pays attention to reality. He's pragmatic. He seems pretty straightforward. It would be refreshing to have a president like that.

He also has his OWN money, and so is less likely to be beholden to anybody.
