2. Because some believe, IMO....
...that acting like Republicans is the way to get in office and stay there.

The tea baggers and the religious right seem to have done a number on the minds of many of those with (D) after their names.

The republicans have actually taken hypocrisy to another level by actually making it seem wrong to bite back.

8. Turks and Armenians sign peace accord
Turks and Armenians sign peace accord under Barack Obama's State Department's guiding efforts. That alone justifies the Nobel Peace Prize for this President.

5. Our 'leadership" has rolled over and played dead for the repubs since Reagan
I wish it was just recent with the "teabaggers" and religious right; the spinelessness /republican lite attitude and behavior would be easier to break if it were a recent phenomena, but it's been going on for decades and thus is much more of an ingrained habit, and therefore harder to break.... A Democrat speaking like Grayson was almost par for the course once upon a time, now it's a stunning breath of fresh air ( not to diminish Grayson's highly admirable bravery in speaking like all, or most Democrats used to).

10. What Grayson understands is that Americans admire...
STRENGTH and CONVICTION more than truth, so he is speaking truth to power with STRENGTH and CONVICTION. It's the only way to get our collective attentions, point out the other side's bull shit, and kick our weak leadership into actually LEADING!!

That's my two cents anyway.

11. I agree with you. I am SO TIRED
of the namby-pamby, "oh-we-gotta-have-bi-particinism" bullshit from most Dems! Bi-Partisin's ASS! We cowered in the shadows while the likes of GingGrinch and Da Hammer gave Bush-Cheney even more than they ever hoped for! Paybacks truly ARE hell! :grr:

12. Yes, Obama and the Democratic leadership should quote
George Bush in 2004 when he said something like "I've won political capital and I intend to spend it".

We did, after all, win the last election by a landslide!!

13. I think Rep. Grayson has an advantage over his Democratic colleagues:
Edited on Sun Oct-11-09 05:31 PM by Joe Chi Minh
he understands how the rest of the world views whatever the Republicans get up as just the latest in a long series of Monthy Python sketches.
