8. I'm not sure...
but I've heard the phrase used to describe very low grade engineering, same for 'red neck engineering'; you know-duck tape and WD-40. Pretty hateful term non-the-less.

21. It's a popular phrase up here in Upstate NY sadly.
We seem to have an overabundance of proud bigots in my city.

9. It's "N******** RIG" it. His signage was just f'd up.
It means to slap something together that is patchwork and substandard. You know, that way people have been kept permanently poor have no choice but to do when they want to fix something and cant afford 'real' repairs, or god forbid a replacement.

This is just one of a plethora of racist remarks that grew out of the vicious cycle of differential treatment creating teh very stereo types that "justified" differential treatment.

10. which is a twisted play on the phrase - "jimmyrig"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jimmy%20rig&defid=1213538

these people are so transparent. never had a friend not the same as them, they're just IGNORANT. They're proof racism lives every second of every day. Someone said we're all racist to an extent. I can say, I guess we're all afraid of the unknown to an extent, but I don't inherently hold any hatred for people not like myself. I don't like people that are hateful, of any ilk, but I'm not a racist. So, I don't agree with the person's sentiment that we're all racist to an extent, but I understand the premise.

3. Restaurant owner using the N word for Obama's health care
I am not sure if I should throw up or get angry!
If the county officials cannot do anything about this because it is "free speech!" WE should take action, and stand in front of that restaurant with pickets and signs demonstrating what WE think of his "free speech message!"

I do hope that anyone who plans to set foot in that restaurant again is reminded of the responsibilities that come with "free speech!" I do hope that this A H . . . is forced to file bankruptcy because of the lack of customers!

But what he is really doing, is getting nationwide publicity, and all the sickos, all the racists, all the extremists will be too happy to humor him and gather in his "establishment!"

Sick!

6. Exactly, the sign is about health care. In fact, it cuts to the root of how many people feel about
it. The REAL reason, which is I will not support any health care system proposed by that stupid nigger, no matter how much it may help me. If I sacrifice it, even if the version that I get will cause me to die or go bankrupt, then that stupid nigger, who was not even born here, may lose re-election and we may get our country back where we have a white man in charge of our country. I love Merica! I won't see it ruined by some spearchucker! BTW, I am excercising my constitutional right to criticize the president by calling him a nigger. It is nothing personal....see all of the pictures of black leaders on my wall next to my hood.

On a related note..... Here is a fun excersize....if you are ever in a debate with somebody over the pros/cons of healthcare reform, stop and ask the person..."This has nothing to do with any of the issues right? You just want to see Obama fail, right?" I would be dollars to donuts that they will quickly agree. Sad.

This is what parts of Paulding County looked like last month....

and this is how quickly President Obama came to their aid. They want the government to help when they need it.

MARIETTA, Ga. — Vice President Joe Biden visited Cobb County Friday to see first-hand the aftermath of this week's historic flooding.

He also announced that Stephens and Chattooga counties have been declared federal disaster areas, in addition to Carroll, Cobb, Paulding, Douglas and Cherokee counties.

Catoosa, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale and Walker counties were also added late in the afternoon after Mr. Biden toured the flood-ravaged area

I live in Marietta not far from Paulding, we had quite a bit of flooding in our area and everyone was impressed with the speed and efficiency of Fema.
Now that things are getting back to normal those same people who sang his praises are back to their tea parties.

edited to add: This is not the first time he has put up racist sign.

Our neighbors are nice but when we talk politics they have the standard RW talking points. None are openly racist nor use vulgar language like this guy.

19. There was an Italian lynched in New Orleans around the beginning of the last century,
but I was unaware of any other such instance in Georgia, or anywhere else in the South. But it wouldn't be beyond belief; anti-Catholic sentiment, sometimes virulent, was part of the KKK creed.

18. He made the sign, he defends the sign, he has a KKK gown in his store and he has the
gall to have Martin Luther King's photo and other photos of Black Americans on his wall? What is that all about?

It is accepted all over the country that a person avoids using the word so that it is not misunderstood. Then he uses it in away that many posters here did not understand, including myself, and then when we learn what it means we find that it is just as racist as if he said three words - President Obama = n-word.

I think he should take the photos down from the walls of his brazen bigot joint.

Is it just me or do people acting like he did by this action and in the video think they are brave? Or did he think that those outside his circle wouldn't read it?

22. This Isn't Racism
At least its not the most common form. But the thing about this, of course, is that so many white folks will run with this (and other incidents like it), easily condemn it and then walk away feeling like that is racism, I am not that. When many of them that will do this are indeed racists. And that is why the news is so keen on covering this kind of incident and squarely calling it racist while letting everything else that constitutes white supremacy go without investigation or examination.

So in the end, this does more harm than good. This highlighting of the most obvious slurs just distracts from the real problem of white supremacy. While helping racist whites feel good about their racist lives and practices in the process.
