1. Just f'ing great
Maine represents 0.5% of the U.S. population, and she is capable of denying the 99.5% of the population of the PU!?!

Thanks much Collins.

2. and vice president baucus?
politics is politics, legislation is sausage.

'Oh Dunderbeck oh Dunderbeck, how could you be so mean
to ever have invented the sausage meat machine;
Now all the rats and pussycats will never more be seen.
They'll all be ground to sausage meat in Dunderbeck's machine!'

4. Considering that she wasn't even a deciding vote...it is obvious that she is going to play

Republican good guy/bad guy...

Whatever role they need her to play to keep the illusion that major concessions to the corporations are all for the benefit of 'bipartisanship'.

Gross.

Obvious.

Disgusting.

5. Collins is a disgrace. She doesn't represent the majority of Mainers views.
Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 05:30 PM by BREMPRO
The majority WANT a public option. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1009/Maine_polls_shows_support_for_Obama_plan_public_option.html?showall
So who is she representing? We are reaping the consequences of her narrowly defeating Tom Allen for Senate- She had the corporate money behind her and pretended to be a moderate in the campaign, but you can see from this interview that she's just parroting Republican talking (lying) points. She's a ping pong ball for corporate interests. She's a disaster for Maine and for the country on health care. She I have to say it- she sound like an idiot- and after seeing this interview, I hate her even more with a passion.

6. Collins, Snowe, and costs.
Collins says she is concerned about costs and that one "good thing" that Snowe did was to keep the public option out of the Finance Committee bill. Making sure insurance companies don't have to worry about "unfair" competition sounds like a real good way to save us a whole lot of money...

The combination of ignorance and arrogance leaves me wondering if Susan and Olympia just got back from moose hunting with Sarah. Your woods or mine?

7. Forget Snow & Collins: They represent 0.43% of US Population
There are more people in Philadelphia or Dallas than the entire State of Maine. Why do 2 senators representing about 1,300,00 people have such power over a county of appx. 304,000,000 people
