1. The Republican party never has nor ever will give a damn about the middle-class.
Just read about who was most ardent about stopper workers rights in the past 100 years. You'll find and (R) by their name every time.

2. I just posted my theory in another thread..
I think they did it to make banks richer via overdraft fees. I just got hit with $140 worth in one day after discovering my UI is gone.

3. Repukes kill unemployment benefits because they're trying
to make their supporters think that only black and brown people are getting them.........

Unemployment has become the new food stamp program - in their minds, only the undeserving and unentitled ask for these benefits!

5. The other debate is 'where is a reasonable place to set living wage'?
NOT 'mininum wage', a LIVING wage. A wage that an individual or family can LIVE off of.

Until there are JOBS (ie: STOP sending jobs to cheap-o-rama countries whose desparate people will work for pennies a week and STOP bringing those people here for those below-low-wage jobs so Psychopath CxO can have a fatter salary and bonus and so Corprats' Wall Street stocks can stay high) -- we will have high unemployment and need unemployment bennies.

EITHER pay unemployment or do something about jobs - both the number of them and the quality of them (ie: implement LIVING wage laws in the US).

Or - we sink.

I guess the bobbleheads in guvmint bought by Corprat AmeriKa prefer the latter. After all it doesnt' hurt THEM. And YOU - well YOU are expendable. Go rot in Hell.

So there we are.

It ain't rocket science.

Zero jobs = zero recovery. Funny no one 'up there' groks that.

Actually I suspect they do. They just mostly don't give a damn. Two things matter to the 'powers that be': MONEY and political maneuvering. Where are YOU on that list? You're NOT. Neither am I.
