SE Cupp claims that the media is liberal, anti-religious, and claims to have no horse in the game, but is quickly batted down, while defending (no surprise) Fox News. Although she's very cute, what planet is she living on?

3. WHY does the media threat all these RW borderline psychotics as if they were
normal, coherent people..with proven track records..and a history of good reporting...?

Why are they not given the short shrift that they deserve when they act as if they were folks who should never be let out alone, and who have missed a few doses of their meds?

:silly: :wtf:

6. I couldn't even make it halfway through...
I can't stand this woman. She claims to be an atheist and then claims on Maher's show she doesn't believe Christians are delusional... so does she think she's delusional? She has to pick one or the other!

8. The title is misleading. She doesn't get batted down for saying KO is irresponsible.
She only gets batted down for saying she "has no dog in the fight" regarding what she says about how liberals treat religion because she's an atheist. Her comment that KO is irresponsible and anti-religion, just because he has referred to pro-lifers as "jihadists," is permitted to stand. Which I think is absurd, because KO is not anti-religion; he's simply for separation of church and state.

9. SE is a very interesting character
I don't doubt she's a conservative, but this "I'm an atheist" thing seems off. Not because she's claiming that Christianity is being attacked by news outlets; that could very well be the case. But, the examples she uses expose a sensitivity that I would expect only in a believer.

I really wish Dave would have stopped her at the "liberals are afraid of fixed-value systems." I mean, does she honestly, truly believe that honoring a value system established by desert tribes 2000+ years ago is sensible? That it's reasonable? That saying "yes, we're going to fixate on an ancient value system no matter what happens in the future" is a good way to go about life? Our values need to adapt; if they didn't we'd look like the Middle East. Of course, that's what many Christians want, in the sense that they envy the levels of theocracy in some of those countries. They'd love themselves a strict, Christian theocracy. The world would become magical! But, I digress...

Having a fixed-value system that includes the obvious, like, for example, treating others as you would want to be treated, is about as comfortable as anyone should be with a fixed-value system. But a system that holds that homosexuals are ill and that most of the world suffering in the afterlife for disbelief for eternity is perfectly appropriate. The fixation on those kinds of claims from people that believe them SHOULD scare SE Cupp. People claiming they speak with the supreme being of the universe and that he even grants their wishes SHOULD scare her. Tales of an impending apocalypse where the righteous are taken up into heaven and the rest are destroyed should fucking scare her. If it doesn't, then she's either a Christian, oblivious, both, or faking it.

10. Yeah, a character created by Roger Ailes to fuck with our heads.
I mean an atheist defending the religious reich?!?! Only Ailes could think of bullshit like this.
