8. Yes indeed, glad you said 2012; That takes guts on this site.
There are several who could fit into that slot as a challenger in my book to have a real chance at an upset, but Grayson, Franken and Dean hit the top of that list. My first choice would be a Tossup between Grayson and Franken with a light thumb on the Grayson scale with Franken and dean close behind and Sanders also in the mix, perhaps as a vice president;

That is the only way I can see, for even beginning to correct the vast damage done under the criminal usurper "*" et al and their virtual and thinly veiled, coup d'etat; And very strangely continued by the present admin with the bizarrest of platitudes; That imo, even the the most naive amongst us, should long ago, have recognized for what they are.

10. Whitehouse is also interesting -- but too often I miss his comments . . .
He was just on the floor of the Senate speaking on something, but I tuned in too late.

It is not as if we do not have excellent people to choose from. But it is the corporate "MSM" that, by hook and by crook, has forcefully placed itself in the position of gatekeepers to all things;

That in the past has narrowed the field to picks that are acceptable to corpworld; Namely Pugs with a D after their name. We have to get off the fraud of a false teething ring, forget the corporate "MSM" and let our teeth grow; And that is possible only on a free internet, where many are growing strong and formidable fangs that are not at all compatible with corporate dominance.

And that is why we must keep the internet's rules of freedom' out of the grasp and control of soulless corporations, who will and always find a way to place propaganda in place of truth. to give themselves ever more control; Or of any one entity, or we will loose the only avenue left to us; And with that, the possibility of ever electing a real democrat, instead of the same old illusion; That electing just another Pug with a D after its name, will mollify and keep the boiling and increasingly demoralized and ever more dumbed down masses subdued and in line to be shorn.

So corpworld is now working fast behind the scenes, to seize control of that last bastion of freedom still open to us, where propaganda is a joke and a laughing matter that threatens their absolute control; A control that will destroy any real chance of electing a real democrat, who will play by the rules of the Constitutions's basic fairness; And by doing so, level the playing field and stop the corporate, takeover on steroids, in its loony, vicious, murderous, ruthless and authoritarian jackboot tracks.

40. Agree ... and I think even if the internet ended today . . .
we have come to understand how much we all think alike --

how much we all hate what is going on --

and how few aren't with us --

This is a liberal nation -- at least when citizens recognize their stake in the issues!!

19. What did we think would change when we voted for Obama?

And weren't we all willing to "wager" on Obama's impact?

We trusted -- we were wrong --

Should we give up?

Love Grayson --

and Love Schultz -- he's really been battling for us --

Still strikes me odd, however, that Olberman, Schultz, Ratigan, Maddow are all

being served up on MSNBC -- doesn't GE control that?

Ah, mysteries!!

36. For darn sure we didn't want another repub to appoint
another Supreme Court Justice!!

Obama is bucking the loud talking Southern Bible thumping hypocrites from the South. They die out they are not voted out. Hell, even Barbara Boxer is in jeopardy!? There are powers out there stronger than Obama. Obama has to walk a fine line, it seems, to get Anything done. I am a yellow dog to a point. But, I don't want to shoot myself in the foot either.

Thank gawd for the Whitehouses and Frankens in Congress!!! Obama needs help not negativity.

37. O and Hill were selected for us by a duplicitous and vicious
Corporate "MSM". We did what we had to do. I accept no blame for voting and even supporting O to the hilt; For he was the only option other his twin Hill, open to us at the time. The rest had been eliminated by our trusty "MSM". Though Kucinich would have been a weak choice, he was the only real and honest democrat of the lot. And that is why he was eliminated toot sweet by our trusty "MSM". Edwards, also a threat and the next best, came next.

Like rats in a maze we were herded directly to a choice between O and Hill, both corporate lawyers.

41. Agree . . .
in fact, aside from liberal/progressives candidates being pushed out --

the rw can't even abide having their populist speeches heard --

any bit of truth that gets thru is like a pebble hitting a mirror --

it shatters the rw myths!!

Keep those pebbles flying high!!

34. Great men and some not so great men, have turned history on its toes, more times than you can count.
some for the good, some into total disaster, as in the last 10 years. These men, of which we speak, have proven to be capable of greatness and proven themselves to be men of honor and worthy of our support.

Edited on Wed Jul-28-10 05:20 PM by defendandprotect
if you have some info, you should always give some info in the post --

a clue, a hint -- or a link --

here's what I found but based mainly on "constituency" --

are you suggesting he has financial interest in Massey?

14. McConnel
But hey, let’s not forget that it was McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, who did everything she could to dismantle mine safety protections for coal workers during her time as President George W. Bush’s Labor Secretary. And remember that at least one coal operator — Bob Murray, whose company brought us the Crandall Canyon disaster — who invoked his friendship with McConnell to get MSHA inspectors to back off problems at one of his mines:

18. You mentioned his wife, Elaine Chao -- Bush's Labor Secretary --
but I didn't look her up to find her record --

well, everything that happened in that administration was corrupt and criminal --

But -- there has to be some money here -- they're not doing all of this for the sake of it.

Swiss Bank Accounts should be ended -- they're a huge threat to democracy!

And, IMO, Mitch McConnell is as vicious as they come --
