that in the last Senate, it never was really used, just threatened. Keep the filibuster (we may need it on our side soon enough), just stop feinting dead away whenever Republicans threaten to use it. Force their hand. Show it on CSPAN. Comment on it. Make the filibuster stonewalling a topic of public discourse. Politicize the hell out of it. Beat the drum.

Would anyone anticipate some potential future Republican Senate Majority Leader having the same issues of reticence that Harry Reid had? Fahgetaboutit...
