The first U.S. air strike on Libya was actually carried out 25 years ago during the Reagan administration - and has since been followed by a number of other U.S.-led military campaigns. And now with Obama's involvement in Libya, it seems that conflict and the American Presidency, once again, go hand-in-hand. RT's Kristine Frazao looks back at a controversial timeline...

2. Who expects to be President and not be involved in conflict?!?!?!

You can't possibly think that being Commander-in-Chief should go hand-in-hand with 4 yrs of trying to solve every crisis with Peace, Love, and Understanding.

I'm not Pro-War. Let me Repeat, I'M NOT PRO-WAR. Afghanistan/WWI/WWII were necessary. This Lybian No-Fly Zone, with no ground troops, has been helpful to the dissidents and rebel forces. Iraq was bullshit. Grenada was bullshit. Vietnam was bullshit. Kosovo successfully stopped a further genocide. We should have been in Rwanda! Bush should have done something in the Sudan!

Stop generalizing and see that every situation is different.

3. I'm glad Clinton intervened in the Balkans... and so are the people over there!
Well, not the Serbs of course, but you know... the people on whom genocide was being committed. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank Mr Clinton for doing that. And bombing Libya... the only thing Reagan did I agree with. But he should've taken out Quadafi.

Comparing it to Iraq is intellectually lazy. I've SO had it with the people on DU who (pretend to) don't know the differences. "USA baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad" is easier to remember, that must be it.
