2. Without the US 'advanced' tech (satellites & stuff), a no-fly zone

implementation would not have been effective enough in the early days, and the gaddafi's regime would have crushed all rebellion by now.

Iraq and Afghanistan (and soon, Iran, if a teaRoarist is selected as pRez in 16 months) never asked for getting invaded (although Shiites did revolt against saddam after bush 1's flip-flop of "not getting involved into Arab conflicts" -- re: Iraq-Koweit -- and H.W. did not help them overthrow him afterwards: they got crushed into silence).

thats the key to losing a war in a foreign country that doesnt really want you there.


its better on all fronts when the people themselves rise up against repression. libya will go down as proof that any country can have a successful revolution in the modern age.
