5. It certainly did shut her up...

The child seemed so uncomfortable (maybe being so close to a complete stranger) whose ears were so far away...lol. I felt sorry for the kid. I would never want to place my child in such a position. You try and protect them from the world as much as you can, but you can only do it for so long. Poor kid...as we say, bless his heart.

It is definitely something she'll have to reflect on. Children are so innocent. I can't say she'll think much of the mother who seemed intent on pushing him up to say it. But, it definitely sounds like something a child would say as he contemplates his family situation.

I have biracial children who ask questions, but I wouldn't dare send one to talk to a bigot on my behalf. I think its my job to keep them from harmful people until they're old enough to fend for themselves.

And, what a great name! Elijah. I love it. Be well, Elijah!

Who told the child his mother needed fixing, Bachmann? How old is this child? The video didn't work for me. If Bachmann would tell a child something like that... But, you can't put anything past her. She's supposed to be a mother/foster mother of 20+ kids. Surely, she'd more sensitive to the needs of a child than to push her own political ambitions with one. Thankfully, she's not in danger of getting anywhere near the White House.
