Wow is he right.

The system is broke, broke, broke. And the first step to getting it fixed is to admit that there is a problem.

1. "kick the can... or burn the place down"

Indeed.

on edit: I dislike how he frames "taxation." "Taxation" is not the problem. It's the corrupt way in which tax dollars are being funneled to the 1%. As he says, "extraction."

3. Which shows he fundamentally doesn't understand the problem.

He says Americans are being screwed - but doesn't acknowledge that the Top 1% aren't being screwed in at all. They're perfectly happy with the way things are and will spend their treasure to keep it exactly the way it is. Congress has been bought by the Top 1% and the Party that is most bought is the GOP.

Jimmy is right: "Money in politics is the root of all evil", and which Party has most benefited from that money? Who has and is expected to benefit most from the horrendous, anti-democratic Citizens' United decision? Which Party has always and continues to be opposed to any and all campaign finance regulation?

And which Party has made it a crusade to restrict the voting rights of average citizens?

If it was up to the Dems, the problems Dylan is ranting about would have a good chance of being solved. And if it was up to the GOP, as he says - they would burn the place down. But it's only because the Dems have to deal with the GOP that the best the Dems can do is kick the can down the road in the mean time hoping they'll be able to get back effective majorities in both houses of Congress before it blows up.

Equating the Democrats and the Republicans IN ANY WAY is foolish & simplistic.

4. The "guy" is Dylan Ratigan, MSNBC 4 pm weekdays
He left CNBC a couple of years ago because he could see the corruption and refused to support it.
