2. notice how Russert summarily ignores what he says and keeps the topic
on Clinton and Obama.

Inside Russert's head: "The Republican strategist isn't supposed to tell the truth!"

10. Chris Matthews does the same thing.....
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 09:59 PM by Catchawave
I remember catching Chuck Todd telling him "don't rule out Edwards" and Tweety went back to ObamaClintonObamaObama.

Did you see David Gregory tell Chris tonight, don't pay attention to the poll that has Edwards defeating all the GOP candidates? He went on to say...it's name recognition because Edwards ran in 2004. WTF?

3. Republican advice-- Thanks, but no thanks
First you have Rove telling Obama how to beat Hillary, and now you have this Republican strategist saying Edwards is their biggest threat. Don't believe any of this garbage.

4. Well Maestro, I do
believe this 'stuff' as I live in a totally red neighborhood in MI and lemme tell ya, the reds here just love Edwards. Most of them have blatantly stated over and over again starting with Kerry/Edwards ticket last time that had the ticket been reversed, they would have voted blue.

They haven't forgotten him from the last time either and can just about quote chapter and verse of his stances.

In my mind when seniors who have been 'red' all their lives pay attention to a dem candidate and talk about him amongst their peers, that is something every Repuke SHOULD be worried or concerned about.

Now, get them on the Hillary subject and all I can tell you is to run and run fast as they get really emotional and hate her guts. Most of them just don't trust her.....and it has nothing to do with Bill.

Anyway, as far as repukes 'scared' of Edwards, they should be. he'd eat thier shorts and take away everything ol' bushie boy has raped us all with.

5. That's good.
This isn't the first time I've heard of "reasonable" Republicans willing to vote for a sensible candidate like Edwards. Remember that woman in the last Republican debate? Look at their choices for heaven's sake! If they don't want a nut they just might do something radical.

6. Nice Response
Forget this poll or that pundit.
Forget quadruple double reverse psychology.
Want to know what people think?
Go ask them yourself.
Listen to political chat you overhear.
Something is definitely up when
Blue talk comes out of Red mouths.

I expect most Dems will vote Dem so I won't preach to the choir.
It's unhappy Republicans talking about one of our
candidates that I want to court.

8. He says he only fears Edwards because he's a Southern Democrat..
and that's stupid. Edwards would be more liberal than Obama and Clinton are and that's not a strong GE draw (primary yea maybe). I also doubt Edward'd crossover appeal when compared to Obama's.

9. His comment was that
He's a Southern Democrat and the last two Southern Democrats WON. Did you see the after the Republican debate where the woman said she'd vote for Edwards? Did you see the latest head to head poll match up with Edwards beating all the Republican front runners by the largest margin? That's crossover appeal.

12. I wonder if you've ever been to the South and talked to some of the people there
you might not dismiss that comment as "stupid"
