Obama hasn't wiped out in any state yet!
As of now:

Alabama 56%
Arizona 40%
Arkansas 25%
Colorado 65%
Connecticut 51%
Delaware 53%
Georgia 63%
Idaho 75%
Illinois 65%
Kansas 73%
Mass. 40%
Minnesota 65%
New Jersey 44%
New York 40%
North Dakota 61%
Oklahoma 31%
Tennessee 35%

Even where he didn't get a majority (so far) he's done really well! This means delegates!

1. He took Missouri and Alaska, but
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 12:52 AM by politicasista
HRC took Mass and Cali. And now people are blaming Kerry and Kennedy for not doing much for Obama (Go figure. :()

Somewhat OT. Barack is so classy. :) During his campaign rally tonight, he sent out thoughts and prayers to people in the South where the bad weather is. It's been a rough night down here and it's not over yet. :(

I agree the BO has done well! :)

2. one in three in CA voted for Obama
And they were saying that he's taken away some of her huge lead.

Yes his speech was classy. What I really liked was when he said that he hopes the government responds quickly to get them help. Hillary's comment was just the thoughts and prayers thing. Big difference to me! Obama's a leader, a problem-solver.

I think we're getting the top half of that same storm; they're predicting 10-12 inches of new snow! :(

4. Do we know change since NH and absentee ballots
Showing the momentum is important, because media is already giving it to Clinton. Of course, Begala.

Massachusetts is disappointing, especially in delegates. Uncle Teddy and JK getting blamed.

5. Yep. They have already started at the Obama blog
And I have stayed out of GDP because of the vitriol and possible early gloating.

10. Getting blamed for what? He won Boston, which is the only place he campaigned in, and all
colleges town. He did not go to Western Mass and Central Mass, where Hillary campaigned, and lost them, sometimes by a smaller margin than expected.

Two weeks ago, Susa had Clinton up by 37 % and the party machine was working for her. Not bad given the circumstances.

11. This is what I was thinking!
Thanks for confirming, Mass! Different areas of MA have very different constituencies and Obama didn't have the time to concentrate on the more conservative areas of the state (I bet California is similar in some ways, though I don't know.) If he had been able to campaign in W. and Central MA, I bet he would have taken MA easily.

15. For not carrying MA
Have to remember the rule not to feed the concern trolls.

I agree, that's not bad considering the establishment is working on her behalf.

8. Obama was down 30 points in Mass. only a few weeks ago.
He lost by 15. The media can diss Kerry & Kennedy all they want. Their endorsements mattered.

7. And remember, he won Missouri...
...only once has the winner of Missouri NOT gone on to win the party's nomination. In looking at the polls for the upcoming states, things are looking bright for Obama- I'm cautiously optimistic.

9. It was a pretty good night for Obama
He won more states than Clinton, he won several of the red and purple states, as well as some of the solidly Dem states. Clinton may have won some of the big prizes. But Obama did fairly well in those states too. It was not a blowout, not by any means. This race is going to continue for quite a while to come. GOBAMA!!!

13. those red states really impress me!
Who would have thought he'd do well in the red states? Going in we'd have all thought he'd do well in larger cities with lots of non-white voters. Times they are a changin'. People are really sick of the usual politics and the kind of traditional campaigning that Clinton has been running. And now she's picking up Obama's slogan of "change" as if she thought of it.

14. Missouri
I find it interesting - not sure what it means that the majority of the conservative areas that typically vote republican in my state (rural mostly and right wing areas) went for Clinton and the Urban areas that normally go for Democrats went for Obama. Again I don't know what that means.
