The dream/nightmare ticket

The media seems to be pushing this again, saying that Obama will HAVE to offer it to appease Clinton and her supporters, that she will DEMAND that it is offered, and then she will most likely reject it. Or not (the Kennedy/Johnson precedent). I find the idea APPALLING.

I am curious what people here think. I am sure that BO and his camp are exceedingly unenthusiastic about this prospect, but do you think that it is likely that he may be forced in some way or another to make the offer?

I think that she WOULD take the VP spot, just to satisfy her ego. Bill Clinton has said so many nasty things about Barack that I can't see him or Hillary actually going out on the campaign trail and saying nice things now without snickering and looking very insincere. Plus, Obama has tried to be a different kind of politician so why would be put a old style political DINO on his ticket with him? It could only hurt his chances to win in Nov., IMO.

He is the future. They are the past. He needs to choose someone that will help him get his message out and bring about REAL change.

Obama is a very thoughtful and smart person, and I'm sure he will make a great choice. We have lots of great people to choose from. :)

4. I've seen the story, too, and it was upsetting

Hillary is supposedly staying in now to FORCE the Obama campaign to give her the VP nod. She is giant black hole of power hunger.

There are so many great Dems to pick from who would work with Obama. Hillary would use her position for her own power.

I keep hoping this story is just so much more media hot air. I've heard it on CNN and on MSNBC (Countdown).
