Our health care system isn't just broken...it's destructive!

Michael Moore's Sicko shows many examples of how much harm this system has done to the American people. My husband hurt his back on the job and the Workman's Comp doctors said he had to have surgery. The surgery was denied when those same doctors found a birth defect we knew nothing about. As a result...we lied to the Department of Human Services so he could get the coverage he needed, find a new doctor and get the surgery. If Kirk didn't have the surgery he would have been disabled for the rest of his life.

People have died because of this horrible system we've got. $582 billion a year goes to the Pentagon, but yet Americans in this country can't get cared for. HMOs turn down life-saving treatments and people die. Kaiser Permanente dumps patients who are ill that don't have an ability to pay at Skid Row in L.A.
