How much death and destruction is the 'christian' Right linked to?
AIDS
Everett Koop, not exactly a Far Left Liberal, wanted to send educational pamphlets to every household in America to educate people about the HIV/AIDS virus. Needless to say, the Righties weren't happy. They'd rather we believe that AIDS was a curse from God and that you could probably get it by just standing around gay people or something. There are some countries in the world where people don't understand the AIDS virus. Guess what the infection rate is? Really, really high.

Efrain Rios Montt
He was so bad, this former dictator of Guatemala made Pinochet look like a prank phone caller. His policies and battling his own people killed 200,000 people, he has even been accused of acts of genocide against indigenous indians. So horrible the US cut off aid to him. And you had to be pretty bad to be an Anti-Communist Dictator during the Cold War and have US aid cut off. But, there was still hope for Montt, Pat Robertson and other leaders of the 'christian' Right stepped in and supported him. Pat Robertson even brought him in during an episode of the 700 Club and pledged support for the genocidal maniac.

Iraq War
How do Conservatives sleep at night knowing that the Iraq War has killed 655,000 innocent people? Well, that's easy! Have the 'christian' Right make up phony justifications for it! Richard Land, Chuck Colson, James Dobson, and other leaders have called this war a 'just war'. Every justification the Bush Administration has thrown out has later been proven to be false, Iraq is now a failed state, and the rights and welfare of the Iraqi People have somehow gone down. How any sane person can see the Iraq War as 'just' is beyond me.

1. Is this the proper place to mention Christopher Hitchen's advocacy
of the Iraq War?

2. Can you name another public cheerleader for the Iraq war
that is a secular humanist or atheist?

4. Me either.
He definitely is on board with the neoconservative vision though.

5. Nope, but it goes to show that not even all atheists are perfect.
Speaking of which, can you tell me what religion Stalin espoused when he was starving Ukraine?
