WTF?:wtf:

His name is Greg Bear, the books called "Quantico."

BTW, Part 2 of the show is good too. Rob Riggle does a report on how we are no longer the world tallest people (among developed nations).

Hey, height isn't everything, we're still #1 in girth!

"Hey, we are the world's most difficult to Hug!"

1. Hard sci-fi author...
What the hell would the DHS hire him for?

Weird.

3. That's easy. Concepts. Thinking outside the box.
It's probably money a hell of a lot better spent than quite a bit of DHS' other spending.

6. To Scare People.

The DHS has even told sales reps selling security technology that it is not their mission to actually improve security, rather just "to make sure the American public is fully aware" of the threat of terrorism.

In other words, to keep people scared.

2. Tom Clancy could've warned them about planes flying into buildings.
(Debt of Honor, the last piece of substandard writing from him that I deigned to read)

...And by the way, Clancy could be very entertaining; his writing technique is just poor. As a teenager I was subconsciously emulating it and discovered that my work was pretty sad. I realized what was going on and did a double take, and that was that.
