6. was buying groceries this morning in Detroit

and I looked at the paper rack on my way out. And this old guy gripes to me about the Detroit News front page. On the right column was a headline about tax increases to cover the budget deficit that we are suffering here in Michigan, in the upper left corner was reference to the movie 'Sicko'. So he turns to me and says, 'they' are going to tax the piss out of us(while pointing to the paper), to make us think they will make us healthier. I looked him straight in the eye and said, "well the health care system IS an incredible mess". He rolled his eyes and walked away from me, pissed I suppose that I didn't agree with his premise. But why the fuck should he care, medicare is probably taking great care of him. Anyway, I wished I would have said well we pissed away half trillion dollars of our taxes in the desert of Iraq.
