Is anyone else worried what Bush/Rove will try next?
Edited on Fri Jun-29-07 08:30 AM by peaches2003
Their backs are now against the wall and I don't think Bush will sit quietly and just let his term expire. He is too unstable for that, Cheney is a total nutcase and Rove will implement whatever Cheny comes up with. I hate to think what they may try next. An attack on Iran or more? An attack here? Martial law? They will not just fade away.

1. No, no martial law, that's just plain silly. Iran, yes, they might try that.
Amnesty bill, yes, they'll keep trying that too.

2. I'm a little worried about the 2008 elections...
All House seats are up for election. There's gonna be a lot of funny vote totals. And I don't mean HA Ha funny. :(

3. I don't think Cheney's a nutcase, I think he's evil and determined. I too worry
about this bunch not giving up power in the 2008 elections.

4. If they do nothing else, the damage is already done
The recent decisions by the U.S. Reichstag have done more to signal the coming storm than any of the Step-Fuhrer's high crimes.
Brown vs. Board of Education? Revised.
100 years of price-fixing protection for consumers? Gone.
Public tax dollars for religious organizations? Granted
Homebuilders vs. environmental protection? Guess who!
By a 5-4 vote, the U.S.A. will cease to exist as we know it.

These decisions and the many, many more that will follow over the next decade will radically re-shape our "democracy". One can only speculate at future court challenges into wiretapping, or perhaps, the right of dissent. Will the recent actions of the ruling junta make it to the Court - thereby redefining the role of the Executive Branch as a de facto unitary ruling body? Don't think it will not. The administration has played the national apathy card to perfection.

The fire has been lit at the Executive Branch. But the carnage will come from the Judicial.
God help us.
