Who is Don Black?

Yes, at the surface he looks like just another White Supremacist, but something seems odd, like he isn't your average guy wearing his mom's white bed sheets.

In 1981, he and some buddies tried to wage a Coup against the tiny island nation of Dominica. Interestingly enough, this coup involved letting a black man become the new ruler of the nation.

In 1985, he was involved with the Iran-Contra network. He created a brigade which would engage in psychological warfare against the Sandinistas and aid the Contras in their insurgency.

In 1995, he founded Stormfront and in 2004 he signed the New Orleans Protocol in an attempt to revive the White Supremacist movement in America.

Something seems odd about those first two items, I wish we could have more information about it.

1. Is He the Elusive "Black" White Supremacist?

Seriously, a lot of people on the fringes have a strange mix of experiences, actions, and beliefs. I don't find any of this particularly odd except in the sense that all white supremacists are odd.

He's a smart guy - he realized the immense propaganda potential of the Net very early
When he was in a Fed. penitentiary, he received computer training and put it to use after his release. Don Black provides(d?) hosting for several white supremacist / separatist web sites. He also realized, very early on that the 'movement' would need unity and a 'softer' image. After the death of National Alliance leader William Pierce (and subsequent infighting between Erich Gliebe and others), the arrest of WCOTC 'pontifex maximus' Matt Hale and the legal troubles of Resistance records I believe the 'movement' is in bad shape.
