This has been coming for a long time, but the tipping point was when they voted for the IWR and the patriot act, even though they knew it violated the War Powers act, and the Constitution

Why, because they were afraid that it would make them look weak and they would lose the election. Funny, but they lost the election anyway in 2004, and even though many argue it was because the votes were rigged, how much has really been down about that?

Now we are faced with MAJOR abuses of power, and the Congressional leadership is again afraid that if they impeach it might look bad, and they could lose the election in 2008.

Whoever is giving these representatives advice doesn't have a very good record. Maybe the Democrats in Congress should run on Democratic principle INSTEAD OF FEAR. Fear sure hasn't done us very well up to now

1. I lost my trust in them
and at this point my choices are ... voting for the real article (the republicans) the jelly fish (the Dems), or third party. Of course I could always stay home

But at this point...

Look the people advising them also told them in '88 don't impeach reagan... we know how that party went, in fact, we are living through those consequences right now.

I will be pleasantly surprised if they finally come to their senses

2. I will vote straight Democratic in 2008, but not because of anything the Democrats have done
more because of what the republicans have done

3. I will vote a straight ticket if impeachment is moved forward.
If not, I will pick and choose among those that will uphold my rights and protections as a citizen.

4. can't blame you. My issue right now is that the republicans need to be taught a lesson
and the only one they will understand is a massive defeat in 2008
