Poll question: Impeachment Poll
Do you think George Bush* will be impeached, your personal feelings, notwithstanding?

2. No...
...I don't think he will be impeached. It will be difficult enough, considering our slim majority, to just shed LIGHT on his crimes, let alone prosecute or hold him accountable for them. Especially with turncoats like Lieberman and Nelson.

10. We need 17 GOP Senators. Don't blame the Democrats. Hold the GOP to account.

16. Not true
Impeachment requires only a majority of House members and zero Senators.

8. No.
I believe the current Congress lacks the guts to enact the will of the people. I've stopped waiting, and will be genuinely shocked if anything is done to either Bush or Cheney.... or Gonzales or Miers or Rove or anyone.

11. Republicans should get on board
Instead of bashing democrats for not impeaching these two monsters what those protesters should do is target the republicans who won't get on board. We should bring it to the country's attention about all the things they have done that breaks our laws, shreds the Constitution. Then maybe we could. I think people are going about it the wrong way. TARGET THE REPUBLICANS THAT REFUSE TO AGREE WITH IMPEACHMENT.

12. I think the climate in Washington is going to change drastically in the coming months.
Iraq problems will continue to grow and work to bring down this administration.

Then there's the ignored subpoenas, lies under oath by former and current administration officials, the economy is sliding which is always a big deal for the party in power, and Bush's arrogance continues to grow.

I believe the demand for impeachment in mainstream American will grow, especially now that it's getting some media coverage. A few years ago, no one would even utter the "i" word on air. I believe it's possible, too many things are not going their way now.

And if they attempt to start a war with Iran, that alone will do it given the anti-war climate in this country right now. Iraq is a fresh stain, Americans do not want more of the same.

15. Before 2009???
Nope...sadly there aren't Repugnicans who love their country over their greed and power, thus boooshie gets to ride out his term. But does that mean impeachment should end? Hardly...if anything, that may be the time to start in earnest. Without his ability to pardon or waive EP, a full trial of this regime can be held...and with Democratic majorities in the House and Senate and a Democratic executive will allow us to do an impeachment right and restore faith in the Constitution.

So, sadly, No before 1/20/09...but Conyers said yesterday he'd strongly look into impeachment after both are out of office. Sorry that it doesn't work quick enough, fast enough...the votes aren't there on the REPUGNICAN side. Let's encourage Democrats to use Inherent Contempt and force this regime on the defensive...slow down the runaway train and defund this war for profit.
