Business owner couldn’t ‘get a word in’ with Bush.

The Washington Post reports:

The entrepreneur who hosted President Bush last week for a roundtable discussion on health care and small business said yesterday that he could barely get a word in as Bush opined on children’s health insurance and other health topics.

If he had, Clifton Broumand would have told the president he disagreed with him on most of it, he said.

“He answered his own questions,” said Broumand, who gave Bush a tour of Man & Machine Inc., the Landover-based medical computer accessory company he founded 25 years ago. “I thought the whole concept was to ask us, so I was a little bit frustrated. I would have liked the opportunity to give him my viewpoint, rather than him knowing the answer.“

1. Didn't he get the memo?
You show up in a photo op with Bush, you are expected to fully participate in pre-planned, choreographed political theater.

3. Mr. Broumand is very naive if he expected Bush to listen to or care
what he thinks. Apparently no one explained to the man that he was a mere prop for a photo op with the all-knowing "decider." Mr. Broumand, you were had.

7. Maybe that's what we need to be looking for
...put all the issues aside and vote for the candidate who LISTENS to us.

8. Good luck finding one. As an aside,

I wrote a letter to one of the Dem candidates about a local news story that I naively believed would be of interest to that particular candidate. I received no response, but I was added to the candidate's fundraising data base and now am constantly hit up for money. They don't want my opinion. They aren't interested in anything I have to say. They only want my $$. It's insulting.

4. Uh oh, I hope that Clifton realizes he is now on the Karl Rove's "naughty" list.
No more invitations to Bush photos ops for YOU, Mr. Clifton Broumand!

6. Welcome to Bu$h's solipsistic world.
Bu$h is the center of his universe .. or, better yet, he is his own universe.

Bu$h is a sick, dangerous little man.
