Listening to the Today show this morning, they are still spinning Sen Clinton's comments to say she would not talk to rogue nations.
They were talking about the Clinton/Obama dust-up over meeting with foreign leaders. And the reporter says "Obama says yes; Clinton says no." Then, they play the sound bite of Sen. Clinton saying she would not want to be used for propoganda. The problem is they don't play the rest of that soundbite, when Sen. Clinton says she would first want to know the intent and the way forward.
We cannot let the media continue to say Sen. Clinton wouldn't talk to rogue nations, because that's not what she said.
This isn't really about Sen. Clinton; it's about ensuring accuracy in our media. And no matter what you feel about Sen. Clinton, if we let the media get away with this kind of stuff during the primary, they will do it during the general election.
We need to let the media know that we are watching when they truncate or leave out an important part of a candidate's soundbite, and then misrepresent what the candidate said.
