He was amazing with the Commodores and I even liked his early solo stuff. The man had us all dancing on the ceiling for crissakes how could you hate that....Oh. Never mind.

Cannot listen to him on XM - swtith to NPR or BBCA or classical or even pop.

I HATE what XM "Liberal" has devolved to - only Randi fits the bill.

Thinking of Sirius - at home listen to Hartmann instead of Schultz. Stephanie only for a bit -- she grates on me after one segment, sorry to say.

9. I posted 1 or 2 anti Lionel threads when he first came to AAR.

I have to admit that he's grown on me somewhat since then. I definitely disagree with him on occasion but if we didn't disagree with people we wouldn't be thinking for ourselves, right?

But I still wonder about his initial positive remarks about Rudy. Afterward it seemed like he got a lot of shit about that and changed his tune. It makes me wonder about his sincerity.

Still, if he's getting an overall progressive message out to people who wouldn't otherwise hear it then I suppose he's a net positive.

11. I never hated him

I just liked Sam Seder and didn't see any need to make a change. I still think Sam's better. Here in Santa Fe they replaced Lionel with Stephanie Miller which for me was the best of all choices.

Stephanie and the mooks are great and funny as hell.

Sam Seder was better. I think they made the change because Lionel already had a large following and therefore brought a lot of new listeners to AAR. I guess I can understand the business reasoning behind that but I'm still not happy about it.
