Here's a laugh for you - the Creation Museum!
Old but funny news: In May, the $27 million Creation Museum was opened, to "show that belief in every word of the Bible can be defended by modern science" (http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2007/05/31/creation_museum/index_np.html). See also http://travel.nytimes.com/2007/05/24/arts/24crea.html.

I admire these people a little - they believe what the Bible says, no matter what. But at the same time, of course, you have to marvel at what religion can do to people's common sense.

3. This past 6 years has been like WADING through a whole field of the stuff.
The country is run by religious right pinheads who all think the Earth is 6,000 years old.

4. This country is NOT run by religious right pinheads!
You think Bush is some sort of a Christian?

Horseshit!

Hell, he's not even a Republican.

You think Cheney's a Christian?

Baloney!

How about Rice, Wolfowitz, Feith, Rove (even though he "stepped down").

Not a serious Christian among the lot.

Oliver North?

Wrong again, bunky!

The extreme right religious pinheads are more fodder for these globalists/corporatists/thugs.

12. Don't call me "bunky". I don't give a shit if anyone THINKS Bush, Cheney, etc. are "Christians".
They say they are, they ARE. And they are certainly ADVANCING a religious right, theocratic agenda.

What's the logic there- that people who aren't religious (or aren't "Christian") are inherently less moral, and Bush, Cheney, etc. are obviously amoral, so they must not be "Christians"? Is it something like that?

Nice. Real fucking Nice.

And I'm sorry, Jack, (Chief, Pal, Dude, etc. etc.) But large parts of our government ARE run by

Religious Right Pinheads.

Monica Goodling? The guy they wanted to put in charge of womens' health at the FDA who was anti-birth control? The people running the parks department who have ordered rangers not to discuss any science facts that might conflict with creationism? Incompetent Religious Right Pinheads. All of 'em.

So put that in your "values voter" pipe and smoke it.

Like I say, they use anybody they can for whatever purpose they think advances their goal.

And, "Bunky" was my best boyhood friend's name.

Didn't mean to offend, Cowboy.

19. Cowboy, That's a good one. Seriously.
I hear what you're saying, but I also happen to think the theocracy IS the goal. At least one of em.

And, that he's going to come back and tell the other 3rd and 4th grade students stories about Adam and Eve riding dinosaurs and that the Earth is only 6 thousand years old. Then I'm going to have to reteach them science lessons that should only have to be taught once.
