We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. —

Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world. .....

The People acted without a Congress once upon a time. That time is, once again, upon us.




A national strike will change this equation.

Descend en masse upon every state capitol building and surround the White House, the Capitol Building and the Supreme Court. Peacefully shut down this tyrannical regime.


It is painfully obvious that our elected officials have failed in their duty to protect and defend the rights of The People and the protection of the United States Constitution. We The People must act to preserve our rights and freedoms and form of government laid out 231 years ago.


The time is now.

1. I'm not sure enough people can be convinced to participate to make it work.
I'm not saying we shouldn't try, I just know that there are way too many people who live in fear of losing their job security.

2. what better way for them to sit up and take notice, get them in
the pocketbooks, can you imagine a full general strike, just everyone stop what they are doing and walk out. But again, it is all up to us, when are we going to unite against this band of thugs. WE THE PEOPLE, remember that????

Unless we can get massive movement stated quickly, it may already be too late.

Anyone attempting to organize such an effort now will be rounded up by Homeland Security and locked up as an enemy combatant. They have the Patriot Act to keep us from being patriots.

8. No organization needed. Just start showing up at capitols and in DC. Numbers and power will grow
...as it is spread by word of mouth. A "floating", ongoing, peaceful strike. Bring the children and our parents.

It really is up to US to say NO to this tyrannical regime.

7. Maybe this will work...
I personally am involved in at least half a dozen groups online as well as two "brick and mortar" groups. As far as I can tell, there aren't any significant divisions among organizations like MoveOn, DFA, PFAW and the DNC. Labor organizations might buy in as well. In order to be effective, we must at least attempt to bring all these groups together to fight this tyranny.

If we contact - en masse - every Internet activist group we belong to and work to set up a coalition among them we may be able to coordinate an effective mass protest, if not an actual strike.

Does anybody think this might or might not work?
