It was done by a paralyzed Marine who said, "I'd go back to Iraq if I could." Then he went on to say how angry he was about talk of a "surrender."

What kind of a moran would make a paralyzed soldier say that. It is BULLSHIAT!!!!

1. I have seen it
I doubt that the soldier was made to say it - I'm sure they drudged up someone who really felt that way.

There's some controversy because Ari Fliescher, appearing on Hardball I believe, couldn't remember the soldiers name - Salon has been all over that story.

Corps for life; it's a mindset. He doesn't care about who's Commander In Chief. He doesn't care about the "collateral damage" due to military intervention. He only cares about his "brothers" and the pride inherent from being in this exclusive family. He trusts the Marines to do the right thing without question. It's akin to religion. Doubting the Marines is like doubting the existence of God to some, unfathomable.

4. If we want the words of the military who are against this war
to be respected then we need to respect the words of those troops that support the war. If they do not deserve the right to speak no one does.

5. war profiteers are now advertising
The real story here is that in the U.S., we have private groups that can fund pro-war ADS to the tune of $15 million per campaign. That says more about this "war" (occupation) than anything.
