What does it mean??????? (Gonzo Gone, Rove Gone...)
Too good to be true-Gonzalez GONE. Rove GONE. But not disgraced-certainly by those that read and know anything about the last six years-BUT they went willingly and with no charges for their real crimes-you know the big ones, subverting elections and the essence of Democracy for Rove-(instead he is credited with being the REASON Bush won-true enough but not for anything legal or decent) AND Gonzalez-no not for torture-which is some countries he would yes-truly be in jail for right NOW-but for the scandal of the attorney firing.

STILL. What is up? Bush let his numero uno friend go-I think Gonzalez is Bush's HEART-and his big friend-(yes his heart is filled with the glee of torture and breaking every law known to man) and Rove is the evil brain-but I can't believe he would ever LET go of Gonzalez. I think Rove is on to his next career-helping the next spawn of Satan get elected (or Mitt Romney which ever is closer) BUT Gonzalez-I NEVER EVER thought Bush would surrender him. He has ALL the secrets of every crime.

So friends, the question is this-is Bushco really going down or is something more rotten yes more rotten than Gonzalez and Rove being planned?

3. The whores on MSRNC this morning said it means
the Dems won't have as much to complain about because two of their favorite "targets" are gone.

8. ding ding ding!!! By the time their activities post-Admin are realized
it will be too late. Rove's working toward the promise of keeping Cons in the majority. Haven't quite figured out what Gonzo's role would be, other than continued cockblocking of Dems getting to the truth of things.

9. Even if so (which I doubt), it's still good news
Gonzo is THE firewall for all the BushCo crimes. When I disable the firewall on my web server it gets attacked within minutes.

5. It means in addition to being treasonous evil bastards
they don't have the balls to take the heat once the truth starts coming out. They'd rather leave as pussified victims. Shows me they knew all along they knew they were doing wrong - otherwise they'd be fighting for their reputations and what they think is right.

Rove however is a shithead that will surely continue to do his dirty work.

And coasts to the end of his term.

on edit: As opposed to actually trying to do something, we all know well how that works out.

11. If they resign, they can leave with their loot and no
accountability so it seems. Just a thought.

12. It means that chimpy has less than 18 months left in office
And that's traditionally a point at which cabinet members and wh officials start thinking about leaving. For example, Ed Meese resigned as Reagan's AG in July 1998, around the 18 month mark; around the same time, Howard Baker resigned as Reagan's chief of staff. During Clinton's final 18 months in office, Erskine Bowles left as Chief of Staff and a couple of other cabinet members departed as well.

The fact that Rove and Gonzo were lightning rods for criticism is another reason. Their continued presence threatened to put repubs in a hot seat when they start campaigning for reelection, so getting them out of their official jobs was politically expedient.

Edited on Mon Aug-27-07 11:36 AM by rocknation
What if they're just officially dropping off the radar so they can serve Bush with LESS scrunity? Last time I heard, Rumsfeld still has an office and staff in the Pentagon.

:scared:

14. I tend to think the same as you. I don't believe for ONE MINUTE
that Rove is actually "gone". He's just moved his base of operations off the WH property. Same with Gonzo - he will still be serving Bushco, just from an alternate location.

16. It Means We're Quickly Moving Into The '08 Election Year And.......
Edited on Mon Aug-27-07 12:52 PM by global1
the Repugs are pressuring * to do everything possible to give them a fighting chance in '08. Now two of *Co's biggest lightening rods are going to be gone. Any investigations that the Dems have will be said to be politically motivated. The Repugs will say - see they are still trying to extend these investigations when there is no reason to - its time to move on - the only reason they (the Dems) are holding these investigations is for political purposes.

Watch for other things to happen over the next 12 to 15 months. They ramped up the troops in Iraq - called it a surge - so that they now could draw down some troops and spin it that it is their idea (the Repugs) to pull troops out. This has already started with Warner's latest statements over the past few days. This is all choreographed. Watch for the stock market to rebound. Watch for gas prices to come down.

Folks it is an election year we're approaching and the Repugs and *Co will do anything possible in order to maintain seats in the House and Senate and maybe have some chance at winning the presidency.

Hell - they might even capture Osama Bin Laden.
