The problem with most presidential candidates, GOP & Dem
This is from a column on why the media dislikes Edwards so much, I really just liked this one paragraph:


Admittedly this point might seem easy to make, given the obvious fact that the presence of Americans in Iraq is an inducement to violent retaliation and direct attack. But obvious though the point might seem -- Edwards pointed out that getting the troops out of Iraq is supported by the public; "Senator Warner is seeing what most of America is seeing" -- most of our most prominent candidates and television commentators, even now, still seem to be playing to an invisible audience comprising Rupert Murdoch, the grotesque Bill Kristol, and Fred Barnes, controlling an invisible Applause-O-Meter owned by Lockheed Martin.
