Who here watches HDN?
I am loving this station more and more - http://www.hd.net

It's the same station that has Dan Rather Reports. Right now they have a program about internet freedom. Coming up is a show about Sundance Festival. It's a terrific station with a "reality bias" :) It is like C-Span, Discovery, LINK, and entertainment news all rolled into one but in HD!

1. I do!!!
I don't watch it all of the time but when I do it's always the greatest. I watched the State of the Union on HDNet and it was as close to being there as I'll ever get.

I do like Dan Rather's show. Pretty much the nature shows, some movies, anything looks spectacular. More people should have HD by now. I can't wait until they do.

3. It's the brain child of Mark Cuban.
He is a tech pioneer, who has reinvested his dot.com fortunes in newer and bigger things. As owner of the Dallas mavericks he got into Hi-def sports and has been one of the leaders in this format.

5. He classifies himself as Libertarian.
Worships Ayn Rand(?). It was his idea to bring in Dan Rather.

7. I watch it all the time now
Dan Rather reports is great. I think the network still has to develop a bit, but it has lots of potential.

8. HDNet is one of my favorite channels
Their news programming is pretty good. In addition to the aforementioned Dan Rather Reports, they also have a 60-Minutes type magazine show that tends to cover stories the MSM bypasses. For example, this week's episode devoted 45 minutes to Genarlow Wilson, the 18-year-old Georgia man convicted and sentenced to 10 years for consenual oral sex with a 15-year old woman.

If you have Windows Media Player, you can view the episode online at mms://64.156.56.97/TMPHDNETVIDEO52545649537268786984867368697957575554/WorldReport.wmv. (200 MB WMV, 55 minutes running time).
