Are My Definitions For The Belligerents In Iraq Correct?
To the best of my knowledge it works like this.

When the fighters are called Insurgents it means: Iraqis who fight against the Government of the nation of Iraq.

When they speak of sectarian fighting it means: Iraqis of one religious sect fighting against members of the same religion but of a different sect.

When fighters are in combat against US soldiers it means: They must be Al Queda

Are these the general definitions that everyone uses or in fact is there any agreement at all as to who is who?

1. To me, insurgents are Iraqi patiots that want the Us
invasion forces to leave. I know I would be an "insurgent" if this country was invaded. In NNNOLHI's recent post he said that 53% of Iraqis find it acceptable to shoot US troops.

2. Here are my definitions:
Insurgent: Native opposing US or Puppet gov't- synonymous with "terrorist" and may have ties to "Al-Queda"

"Sectarian fighting": The people in the area we took over are attacking each other, much to our amusement and it's in our interests to let them continue, or help out by bombing a shrine of theirs and blaming it on the other party or "Al-Queda"

Fighters in combat with US Soldiers: "Terrorists linked to Al-Queda", because they are only certainly "Important members of Al-Queda when we attack first.
