I think they will.

They were conned and lied to into the Invasion, don't seem to want to rise up against Bush and his warmonger friends, and Patreus being a well-trained parrot is telling people what they want to hear.

1 more year at escalation levels is not going to be able to fix 1,300 years of hatred among the Sh-ia, Sunni's, and Kurds.

The Bush administration has hedged its bets on the laziness, apathy, and fear of Americans. It's a bet the keep on winning.

3. HEY!!! I take exception at the parrot comment
anybody who shares their lives with these animals knows that we are the ones who get trained... not the other way around

;-)

Otherwise, yep, Muricans will be conned until it affects them personally in significant ways

4. the slow(est) boat determines the speed of the fleet
in the bush analogy, the fact is there is a demographic that believes whatever is asked of them, sincerely so in some cases, let's pretend in many others, but as the fleet can't get strung out, or it might get attacked, so it travels in set formation, and if in the middle o the pack there's the uss britney spears, or the ted fukkin nugent (a bumboat, for sure) then all the sleek and hungry wolf pack dreadnaughts gotta cut steam, hell, break out the paddles!
Bush and the dopes know this, and count on it!

5. It's not a matter of the majority of Americans believing it--THEY DON'T
It's a matter of the corporate sponsored Dems saying FUCK YOU we're voting for our sponsors and the majority of Americans can go FUCK THEMSELVES!--END OF THE FUCKING DISCUSSION.
