Jon Stewart does it again
It's amazing how he can make more important editorial points than anyone on the major news casts. Jon points out the clear contradiction between the fact the administration is toning down expectations for the surge by saying no one can predict the future effect of the surge (but the trend is up), but you can exactly predict how much damage no having the surge will do. They can't predict the positive results the surge will have, but they can predict the negative results not having the surge will have. Either they can make prediction about the future of Iraq or they can’t. You can’t have it both ways Mr. President.

1. AGREED
Applying some good sound principals of LOGIC generally blows most of Bush's lines of reasoning about virtually ANYTHING completely out of the water!

Thanks for posting this! Very good point.

2. Sometimes I rewatch what he says.

There's quite a bit of pearls of wisdom and subtle points in what Colbert & Stewart say.

I agree; you are quite correct, and I thought about that last night.

What is really quite freaky for me is that I watched Jon and Colbert right after I had watched Amy Goodman on "Democracy Now." She had the reporter from "Big Noise Films," who had been in Iraq talking to various leaders and refugees for a month (at least). I was hit with the heartbreaking reality there, and then I watched Jon and Colbert expose the illogic and madness of the Administration's propaganda.

3. This is why I love Jon Stewart.
And why he and Stephen Colbert are so popular. They are keeping me sane (well, fairly sane anyway) through the Bush years. :)
