I have been told that's near Albany, NY. My husband has some estranged family members there. I am not comfortable contacting them them out of the blue.

I was just wondering how well they are doing. Maybe you're one of their neighbors!

Thanks for your help.

1. The incredible snow falls are in Oswego County
On the eastern tip of Lake Ontario.

2. Did some research
Here's the weather forecast:

Here's the town's website:
http://eastgreenbush.org/2005/index.html

It appears to be in Rensselaer County, NY.

You should be able to find out about their situation from one of these sites.

3. Just across the Hudson

East Greenbush is across the Hudson, and slightly to the south of Albany, about 6 miles away.

We have not had a whole lot of snow in this area (unlike Oswego, on the shores of Lake Ontario, which got 8 feet in just a couple of days). It has been very cold although the Albany area usually ends up being warmer than where I am (about 55 miles to the west of Albany).

4. East Greenbush, which is near Albany has not been hit with those massive snowfalls.
It's in the Hudson Valley, about a couple of hours from here. I think their snowfall this year has been minimal as it has been here. So far, we've only had about 1/2" of snow, which must be a record.

5. I live north of Albany (about 40 min from E Greenbush)...
...and we've had about 5 inches total snow fall this year. I used to live in Oswego, and we averaged about 150-200 inches a year. They've gotten half of that in one WEEK! :wow:
