Happy Constitution Day! (8/18) (Hmmm, I wonder where it was on 9/11/01?)
Today is Constitution Day!

The Constitution, along with the other Charters of Freedom, are kept in a protective case at the National Archives. This case can be lowered into a bomb-proof vault in case of attack. To date, I haven't heard of anyone in government or the media assure us that the order to lower our Charters into their vault was given on 9/11/01.

Makes me wonder:
(1) Was this oversight due to gross incompetence on the part of this Administration (who gives the order to lower them? Was that order given?);
(2) If it was know that the National Archives was not a target on 9/11/01 (just like Bush wasn't rushed to safety by the Secret Service when it became known that we were under attack), therefore it wasn't necessary to give the order.

A couple of questions that keep nagging my everyday thoughts...

But, be sure to take advantage of your local retailers' "Constitution Day" sales!
