SEQUOIA TOUCH-SCREEN VOTING MACHINES HACKED, FOUND VULNERABLE TO VOTE-FLIPPING BY PRINCETON UNIVERSITY!
New Jersey Attorney to Ask Juge for Decertification of Company's 'AVC Advantage' System After Machines Found Untested by State

Princeton Professor Paid $86 For Online Purchase of 5 Machines That a NJ County Paid $40,000 for...

"We can take a version of Sequoia's software program and modify it to do something different --- like appear to count votes, but really move them from one candidate to another. And it can be programmed to do that only on Tuesdays in November, and at any other time. You can't detect it," Princeton's Professor of Computer Science Andrew Appel explains in today's New Jersey's Star-Ledger today.

As Previously Revealed by BRAD BLOG, Scrubbing Even of Helpful "Journalists'" Questions from Website Would be in Violation of Presidential Records Act...

Just prior to the 2004 elections, The BRAD BLOG revealed a number of embarrassing White House moments that had been scrubbed --- in violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978 --- from their website. Eventually, in the weeks just prior to the election, and after WaPo, AFP and other wire services picked up the story which broke here, they were forced to restore all of that information to the website.

Now it looks like they may be at it again....

VIDEO: John Edwards Blogger Controversy

Guest Blogged by Alan Breslauer

Whether or not you find these statements unworthy of an employee of a potential president of the United States, can we all agree that there is an unprecedented amount of rank hypocrisy at play here? Imagine if mainstream media regulars like Bill Kristol or the New York Times' own Thomas Friedman were held accountable for past statements? And what about Malkin who, despite her vile rhetoric, appears regularly on Fox "News"? For truly "vulgar" journalism it is worth reviewing just about any 2002/2003 Judith Miller column in the New York Times.

Just for fun Brad thought you might like to see this.

HANNITY: Now, Jeff Gannon, who is a terrific Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent for
Talon News, actually shot me an e-mail today, and he's about to break a story in an exclusive about these
CBS documents.

So good old Jeff Gannon / James Gugkurt was in helping Creative Response Concepts and Karl Rove
set up Dan Rather w/ the "forged documents" and then the corp. media did their lap dog thing
and took their eyes off of the fact Bush went AWOL from the service.

So of course the White House is trying to scrub little Jeff's part in the bait and switch.

4. I hope they find deals on some of the other vendor's equipment.
So, for 86 bucks Princeton gives us the skinny on the Advantage.

How much did Ciber charge?

5. Ciber tests software. They don't sell machines.
Edited on Sun Feb-11-07 09:00 PM by Contrite
Ciber is a phony certification company and every piece of software they "certified" needs to be dumped.

My SOS says he bought an "Eagle" model for 10 bucks to play around with.

One of these models:

Our state uses Sequoia but mostly ES&S. I wonder if he managed to get an ES&S also.

6. Yes. I was joking, asking what Ciber charged to tell us all was A-OK.

What did your SOS learn? Any report?

7. Oh, I see.
I haven't heard back yet. I was meaning to send him the BradBlog link (he does check the website from time to time but I "help" him along) and ask him about it. I'll report back if I learn anything!

12. Brad, if you didn't know about it, there is this website called archive.org...
and you can look up old websites in there. It's often helpful to prove something. In this case you might be able to compare press briefings in that archive to the WH's own version.

This is not the first time they've altered records, I remember seeing a piece about them editing out the "Mission Accomplished" banner in a video on their site. They are trying this, but they can't get away with it anymore.

15. That's a pity
We use Sequoia here in Nevada. Our gaming control board reviewed the code before it went in and they came back clean, but there is no auditing of the machines, so no way to see if they've been altered since.

18. Presidential Records Act was re-written by Bush* in early 2001
Didn't know a President could write Law did you? The Constitution is fairly explicit about who and what can create Law in the USA and the President is not one that can but does that stop Bush*? The law is quite explicit in when and how Presidential papers must be released to the Public. Bush* refused to release any of Reagan's or his father's papers even though the Law required he do so..That should have tipped of Congress in the first weeks of his pResidency..
