I noticed a few disappearing threads over the last couple of days, stories I hit upon at the "latest" page. I get a chance to read OP and maybe a couple of responses, but when I click to reply the topic is missing.

The posts were either critical of Israel's treatment of Palestinians or doubted the official story of 9/11.

I'm guessing that there's some financial reason that DU kills these threads. Perhaps the Offices of DU were paid a visit and admins were told what speech would be really, really expensive for them.

I wonder if we'll know the real reason why the threads disappear.

Sorry to bring this up during a fund drive.

1. They were probably shifted to the Palestine Israel forum

Or to the 9/11 forum.

You should go check out those forums if you want to read those kinds of stories.

2. well, there's a different error message when topic moves

than when it's removed.

And it's not whether I seek those stories out, they're just the ones that go missing when I cruise the "Latest" page.
