It took me long enough--I had to start a thread.

What profundity can I share?

If I could grant myself a DU wish I would wish that we could set aside some of the harshness we DUers have been directing at each other of late. I would wish that we could leave that kind of thing to rightists. A pox on their house, and all of that.

At least I can dream.

2. Congratulations, and I couldn't agree more. I've had to email a friend or two,

even, on the same subject. My philosophy is simple - if we agree on *most* things, then why attack each other on the few thing(s) we disagree on? I feel like DU is a great community of like-minded people, so the last thing I want to do is rant at someone or have them rant at me. We should only have 'discussions' or 'friendly disagreements', dammit! :^)

Congrats on the 1000th post! You're now in a very select and prestigious group of people. When Blackwater returns to the United States and starts the round-up, your's will be one of the first doors they knock on for relocation to a FEMA camp and political re-adjustment!

Hey Man, I'm SO kidding. But if that was the case, they'd probably round me up too. But I'd smuggle some booze in and we might make a party of it anyways.

Anyways good for you and keep on truckin! I don't mind the heated debate so much. I think the elevated temperature may raise the chance of people being more critical of their own thoughts and perhaps move them closer to progress.
