Counting The Votes

In the upcoming elections nearly 80% of the votes will be counted by electronics/computers. Some votes will have a paper trail, but will not be counted by any humans, just machines.

How confident are you that your votes will be counted as cast?

1. Let the machines count the votes

BUT set the count up to a big big TV screen. Let the count be put up on a ticker tape. Let the people in this country sit and watch on home TV, in public all over. The won't be able to change the totals that way. Aveote for a democrat would come over as a democratic vote, or a vote for a republican would com over as a republican vote.

2. Not a bad idea

But as far as I can tell, they won't let anyone watch or question how the count proceeds.

Heck, even the courts have ruled that the secret code that runs the machines is private information and no citizen is allowed to study that private code.

3. Once your vote is digitized, it can be manipulated.

Pen & paper ballots counted by citizens.
