Has anyone else noticed that all the Republican candidates are arguing that they
are the most conservative, but no Democratic candidates are saying that they are the most liberal?

GOP Rivals Argue Who's Most Conservative
Oct 21, 1:27 PM (ET)
By H. JOSEF HEBERT

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican presidential candidates vied Sunday over who is the real conservative, ahead of an evening debate in Florida where they hoped to put their conservative credentials on display.

Sen. John McCain of Arizona said he is the conservative with the best chance of defeating Democratic front-runner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a claim often made by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. GOP rival Mitt Romney, meanwhile, deflected charges that he has flip-flopped on abortion and other social issues important to religious conservatives.

Romney, a Mormon, said on CBS'"Face the Nation" that evangelicals may not accept his religion "but they will certainly see me as someone who ...can carry the standard of conservatives for social, major social issues."

1. Conservative = postive connotations, liberal = negative connotations.

4. And, considering that the majority support most liberal positions when they're not labeled "liberal"
The corporate propaganda has succeeded.

6. That is because they are all running for the Corporate Masters support. We are no longer a nation
of by and for the People. We are not ruled by and for the Corporations.

WE have to take our country back.

7. I think that's because..
The GOP candidates need the conservative vote to get elected in the primaries. The Democrats don't seem to need the liberal vote.

13. I keep wondering just what the hell they "conserve."
They rape the planet and spend us into bankruptcy, saddling the next generation with debt. "Conserve"? Hardly.

Bush family hedges its bets for 2008
By Alexander Bolton
March 26, 2007

Much of Jeb’s inner circle has picked Romney. The list includes Sally Bradshaw, who served as Gov. Bush’s campaign manager in 1994 and 1998 and as his first gubernatorial chief of staff; Ann Herberger, who was the governor’s campaign finance director; and Mandy Fletcher, who recently headed Bush’s think tank, Foundation for Florida’s Future, and worked on his reelection. In addition, Alan Philp, Bush’s former policy director, is coordinating policy and issues for Romney.

Jeb Bush’s former lieutenant governor Toni Jennings, Al Cardenas, who served as Florida GOP chairman under Jeb, David Griffin, who headed Jeb’s second -term transition office and was the Florida Lottery Secretary, Sherri McVay, executive director of Jeb’s statewide advocacy council, and Kristy Campbell, the former governor’s press secretary, are all playing roles in Romney’s campaign.
