According to the Fear Factory known as the GOP, we Americans are not sufficiently terrified – even though the Halloween season is in all its full decaying glory.

In response to that ugly right wing point-of-view, two of the nation's most observant commentators of the Bush Crime Family - Bill Maher and Paul Krugman – have issued separate screeds on the ongoing and insidious fear mongering perpetrated by the scariest entity in Hell or on Earth, the Republican Party.

"Many of the men who hope to be the next president — including all of the candidates with a significant chance of receiving the Republican nomination — have made unreasoning, unjustified terror the centerpiece of their campaigns.” Paul Krugman. wrote in today's New York Times.

Krugman continues: "Rudy Giuliani is taking foreign policy advice from Norman Podhoretz, who wants us to start bombing Iran 'as soon as it is logistically possible.' In a recent campaign ad Mitt Romney asserted that America is in a struggle with people who aim “to unite the world under a single jihadist Caliphate. To do that they must collapse freedom-loving nations. Like us. In the wake of 9/11, the Bush administration adopted fear-mongering as a political strategy. Instead of treating the attack as what it was — an atrocity committed by a fundamentally weak, though ruthless adversary — the administration portrayed America as a nation under threat from every direction."

The Bush Crime Family learned from 9/11 the single most important lesson for incipient Nazis: the mechanics and politics of fear. Their post-9/11 successes in terrifying the public into accepting Constitution-demolishing abuses of The Patriot Act, the flaunting of FISA laws to wire-tap unassuming Americans, and the torture of innocent civilians at Guantanamo (or Abu Graib, or anywhere in a seemingly endless chain – gulag – of torture camps scattered across the globe), the invasion and endless occupation of an already-decimated country and the ongoing slaughter of its people; all of this is being revealed for what it really is: deception, lies, and the policies of madmen. The Republicans now realize an awful truth. In order for fear - like heroin - to deliver its promise, larger and larger injections are required

Bill Maher put it this way: "While the country’s most populous state literally burned, at the Republican debate this week, Mike Huckabee said, 'Islamo-fascism is the greatest threat we ever faced.' Really? More than the Nazis? And the Russians? And the Redcoats? In his latest ad, Mitt Romney warns eerily that Muslim jihadists want to establish an Islamic caliphate covering the whole world, including America. We're the most powerful nation on earth with the largest economy and the best military, and we're made to act the fool by a few thousand cave dwellers who still put out their video on VHS?”

And to what does Maher attribute this latest attempt to activate a national anxiety attack? " . . . because over the last seven years, because of the incompetence that goes by the name George Bush, we've become the most insecure, paranoid superpower ever."

Given the corrupt successes of this current administration from Hell, it is clear what the Republican Party’s next – in fact, already begun - tactical step will be in their attempt to maintain control of the White House. More fear. Bigger fear. Huge fear. Unspeakable fear.
