No wonder Reid has become such an obstructionist of the Dem agenda in the Senate and House and a helpmate to Bush. He's taking advice from Carville.

Dear OzarkDem,

If I donate to the DSCC will Cheney get to choose which candidates they fund, too?

If you think 2006 was huge, 2008 is the Halley's Comet of elections - it doesn't come around all that often, and when it does you don't want to miss it. Because if 2006 was the year we took back the Congress, 2008 is the year we can take back America.

Don't get me wrong; what we accomplished in 2006 was a big deal. I'll take a one-seat Senate majority over a one-seat minority any day of the week and twice on Sundays. But imagine how sweet it would be if next year we can go for a clean sweep - a Democratic president, a stronger Democratic House of Representatives, and an even bigger Democratic majority in the Senate.

There is no doubt in my mind that we can nail the trifecta next year if we start filling our war chests now. This year, campaign season started earlier than ever and now we're just one year away from the 2008 elections. If we want to be high-fiving in celebration of a Democratic sweep in '08, the DSCC needs $1 million by November 14.

3. 7th Day Wonder On The 10th Day

Can anyone remember the last election Carville helped make successful? Other than Cheney/boooosh? I used to love James when he played media attack dog, but that's long in his past. Corporal Cueball fell on his petard when he put his name on that letter asking for leniency for Scooter. He's never explained that...too bad our corporate media doesn't have the cajones to confront him with it either.
