Iran Intel: CIA Spooks Won't "Cook the Books" for Cheney
posted Saturday, 10 November 2007
Cheney has been trying to pressure intelligence analysts who have not drunk
the neocon kool-aid on Iran to go along with his line on the issues
at stake in a National Intelligence Estimateon Iran that the White House has
delayed for over a year

A former CIA intelligence officer who has asked not to be identified told us that an official involved in the NIE process says the Iran estimate was ready to be published a year ago but has been delayed because the director of national intelligence wanted a draft reflecting a consensus on key conclusions - particularly on Iran's nuclear program.

.............

He told us that intelligence analysts have had to review and rewrite their findings three times, because of pressure from the White House.

"The White House wants a document that it can use as evidence for its Iran policy," says Giraldi.

Despite pressures on them to change their dissenting conclusions, however, Giraldi says some analysts have refused to go along with conclusions that they believe are not supported by the evidence.

5. As many as they want -
Bill Clinton told a crowd the other day that Americans don't WANT Bush and Cheney held accountable.

That's a lie, for sure, as most voters said in 2006 exit polls that corruption was their top issue.

So - why is Bill trying to mislead Dem voters on that issue?

3. But, Tucker Carlson said that Cheney's in a ceremonial position
He just goes to funerals and stuff. Oh yeah, Kucinich schooled the boy who once again looked like an utter fool, but the revision is already being written about what a little cherub Dick Cheney is and always has been.

4. Thank god for people who are good at their jobs. No wonder the *WH
puts incompetents in positions of power. They want the wind to blow only in the direction of their power fantasies.
